360 degrees of blue sky
2002-01-25 at 4:44 p.m.

So I got to bed early last night and woke at a wonderful 7am (sans carbon monoxide fumes lurking in the air-YEAH!!)

I arrived at my 9am meeting at well, 9am and was greeted by the mistress of the ranch and one of their kitties, brother (yep, that's his name. guess what the other kitty's name is? ...sister) -story later-

So I helped the mistress with an excel spreadsheet (which I am sure added many points:)

I proceeded to the 'main' house at the inn, approximately a mile up the road. And I met the mister of the ranch. Holy shit! It turns out they were on the same flight out of here when I went back to Michigan in November. Small world, huh? I am beginning to think it must be fate at this point. So we walked and talked and I saw every room and house on the whole 200 acre property. Gorgeous, I tell you! I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to get away for a few days to a beautiful piece of heaven! Mountains and blue sky from every window you look out. I really clicked with Dave and before I knew it, 3 hours had passed. The final stop was the event facility and the 'staff quarters' above it. Well, this 'staff' quarters was more like a freaking awesome 2nd floor house. All wood, and incredible! (I know I say incredible too much, but I guess I need a new thesaurus!?)

So I was left with "why don't you sleep on it and give us a call if you would like to talk more". So, can I call them back immediately and say I just took a nap and had a chance to 'sleep' on it? hell yes I want the job. So, now we need to talk money and possible 'accommodations' in the staff quarters.

Shit, I want to call them right now!!

I ended up opening the showroom at noon. So it was a nice quick day here for me. And as usual, not a soul came in. Poo!

I am excited at this new possibility and am chomping at the bit to call them RIGHT NOW!! If I could get things together before Tuesday or Wednesday, that means I can give our landlord 30 days notice, and possibly start packing my home. Oh, the excitement, the frustration, the waiting, the the (hey, I love that band!)

So, it is Friday again. not that it means jack to me. I am still waiting for a nice big check to be deposited in the ol' checking account, but looks like next week. Oh well, bouncy bouncy...

I am grateful for: 360 degrees of blue sky, new shoes finally broken in, and endless possibilities.
