fun, but busy weekend

I have had THE best weekend! I finally got my ceiling fan installed (only hoping it doesn't fall on me in the middle of the night). I also got my kitchen counter tiled. It is beautiful. I took before and (almost) after pics so I will show you when it is sealed and done.

Saw Ryan this morning and watched some dog training. Had fun, and got fried in the sun. I am still amazed how strong our Colorado sun is. I was only out in it for 2 hours. I had him put sunscreen on my exposed back tat when I got there, but I didn't do anything with the rest of me. Erghhhh! Then I gave him my aloe burn stuff since he was super red when he stopped by later. This may be the only reason I miss Michigan. Yes, the ONLY reason.

So, Friday I got a call from a friend who is the manager at the Humane Society Thrift Store. So, she leaves me a message saying she has some couches in (finally). Well, I run up there during lunch and she went home for the day. Well, nothing to speak of in the couch dept. But I found some nice chairs if I ever found a kitchen table to match. Did I mention furniture was 50% off? Well, I ran into a friend doing community service and I asked if she had a table in the back and lo and behold...YES!! And it matches the table. So I got a cool pine table and chairs for $30! So I had to do some rearranging in the apt., but it works and my kitchen will be so cute once I finish the tile work. Oh, sometimes life is fucking fun!

So, I have been walking everyday and got a pedomter on ebay. Trying to get skinny. Even though I made some incredible chicken/spinach lasagne roll-ups last night. MMMMMMMMM! Those are some good things in the bell! I gave some to Ryan and a friend, so it left only 2 for me (which I ate for dinner). Need to start cooking a bit more healthy. What happened to the time I WAS cooking healthy when Ilived just 4 blocks away? I wish I could link to those times, but still looking for help on my archive page since Twiggle is gone.

Well, goota go get in bed and enjoy the cool breezes from my new ceiling fan (did I say it rests above my bed and I am still freaking that it will finagle (sp?) itself out of the electric box and land on me in the middle of the night?)

Oh, forgot the Devin update. So, got the table and the girl who was doing the community service is a friend of mine through Devin and the bar around the corner. Well, she put my table in her pick-up and I told her I would pick it up later at the bar. Well, I really didn't want to go INTO the bar since I have been such a good girl lately. But I did. And we had a few beers and Devin suggested we go out to dinner (all of us). So we did...had an awesome dinner...and then she and her boyfriend left so Deving and I west to this old dive bar, shich happened to accommodate all the old bartenders and drug dealers on this particular night. So, I was ready to leave once we arrived. So, after he mingled, we went back to the 8th ave. (our original place of departure.) Then Devin kept hinting that I would take him home for some 'action'. Well, I have been a good girl and I wasn't about to get back into that cycle so I left very shortly after arriving. Well, after 2 hours of being home he called "just to make sure I got home ok".ÊWell, I would have hoped he would call for that reason within 15 minutes of my departure so I knew he was just looking for a booty call. And I just blew him off non-chalantly on the phone. Not that I wouldn't have minded getting some action considering it has been since July 2! My god, I haven't been without for THAT LONG since I left Ryan! Ok, maybe I wasn't, but the archive page won't allow me to share right now.

But it is ok. I am happy I slept alone and let him know we can do without, but still be friends.

Ryan- We have really become best friends and I talk to him everyday. It is the best!
